GOOD GUYS AND NEW GUYS

Post  MIDGET_FIST on Sun Feb 15, 2009 10:22 pm

ONe thing i have learned about us is that we destroy good teams lose to bad. I have noticed that in a straight shootout which we normally do with more experienced people we win but then you got these teams that are full of newbies, they always camp and we rush and lose. I have learned we should not do that. Now i have also found out some of these guysthat are low levels have two accounts, there gaming account and there GB account name so they could be good too. So i think we should parctice and go over the little spots the new guys hide in so we can try and remember to watch out and remember where we use to hide when we first started.

Thats how gamebattles is though...sometimes its just down to luck...We should do what we were doing on COD4, make strategies for every map using the over view...like go A on this map twice and b the second or somthing like that..once i get the to know some more about the game id be happy to do a map, like i did overgrown for COD4

Like i said we should start stratigizing about the maps what we know..experiment...maybe have a guild practice again to help each other learn the maps better..i know we all have good stratagies and we do good with them, but a team is only as strong as thier weakest link, so we need to build everyones knowledge up, feel free to share your knowledge, like on seelow i think it is with the big open field and the wood bridge...there are 2-3 sniping spots i know about and am willing to share if anyone wants to know

I like the game battles rules... often noob tubes are disabled which then leads to players having to use their guns for the kills. I have been working on camping lately which is leading me to get more and more kills. There is nothing wrong with camping/playing it safe if you can help get the win.

usually unless the other team horrible sucks, its better to sit back and post up watching evertwhere in GB's, im guilty of not doing this unless im sniping, but im not the only one, i think we all have things we need to work on but the biggest is communication, when i played the other day i heard me and shock and i think duke calling everything out and no one else

how about we set up some actual practice days. say sundays at 4 oclock or something like that. just on a day when most of us are home. and really work on GB stratagies

another thing we need to work on more is Rushing more when planting and camping more when defending..when we have a straight plan and follow it we do much better...we played a really good team ranked 5th i believe and we had a set plan and we almost won a few rounds..with more practice it will work even better

Im not sure if this topic is dead to yall or not, but from my experience playing s&d on gb for cod4, sticking to your designated "spot" and watching your assigned area is a MUST. You leave your spot and something occurs there that could cause you to lose, you usually got a talk with the captain/leader after the game. I ran my own clan on GRAW2 and we were #2 in the game for the longest time and beat the #1 team once, we usually kept away from them cause they were known for their "issues" but we were the best team and rocked everyone that challenged us.. its best to stick people at chokepoints on the map and you watch them,(while defending atleast) offensively you get your nades where they are suppose to be and you watch those rush points where defenders try surprising you. You should NEVER rush in a gb unless you know your enemy and the whole team has the rush strategy down. Just my 2cents, ive been outa gb for awhile, but when i did gb a couple years ago i was the best sniper on GRAW2, and then the team i was on for COD4 hit top 20, i believe we were ranked 15 on the normal ladder, we played S&D.

Take from this what you will.

I have a good suggestion (i think) how to eliminate campers...

If we run in teams like Casualties and I did the other night, (depending on map size 2-6 man groups) run assault rifles with 2 guys packing shields as mobile cover for the assault team. Run in a group with a sniper covering the backside.

Do it like a team in the military doing sweeps , but, with the added defense of the riot shields. move slow and dominate in force. The only flaws I can see is how to deal with a team member down, or grenades. If communication is good the riot shields should absorb grenades. and provide enough mobile cover to eat 'em up.

just an idea from a noob...
