Oddly enough... I am a dog lover, and as far as rabbits...

When I was a young lad (we were pretty poor)we had "Easter rabbits". Everyone thought ohh rabbits would be nice for a young child's first pet. They were. Then money got tight. My Dad taught me how to skin a rabbit on my first pet. Blackie was his name. (he was all black then of course a little red, and pink underneath) Then we ate him.

Short version... I ate my first pet.

You gotta do what you gotta do... I learned real quick when your hungry everything is food!!! It kinda screwed me up though now that I have a family my biggest fear is my daughter going hungry. The wife gets mad at me because I really hate to waste food... I got sick twice in a row from eating 3 week old chili lol, there wasn't any mold on it! Then forgot about it and ate more before the wife could throw it out. She is all about the expiration date. I figure it's more of a suggestion!

I had a roomate that would smell everything before she ate it. She would eat food that I would throw out due to age. Jenn would have a sour stomach and she would blame it on nerves but I think it was all the old food that she ate.
